In House Entertainment and Phones

  •  Our Website www.villaaguila.co.uk
Our website gives you everything you need to know about the villa, the local area and Mallorca too, from the best markets to local restaurants, Mallorcan vineyards and local golf courses. It will help you with just about all you need to know about the villa, so get on line and enjoy it!!
  • Your mobile phone.
Your mobile phone will not work well in the villa. Most of the time there is no signal whatsoever. We recommend ‘What’s App Chat’ via the in-house Wifi. On odd occasions your mobile phone might work around the pool on certain networks. In most cases you need to drive/walk down the hill some 400-600 metres.
  • Wifi
There is Wifi in the villa. The code is on the bottom of the router. Smart phones, iPads and conventional PC/Laptops must be tuned to this code and you can then receive emails and go on line. We recommend you Skype your friends at home or use ‘What’s App Chat’. The router is near the television. Sometimes it needs re-booting by switching off the power for a minute and then switching it on again. If there are thunder storms please turn the router off as storms have been known to take it out altogether!
  • Phone for local numbers
There is a landline phone by the television to use to ring local numbers and emergency numbers or indeed receive calls the number is 0034-971-816-032
  • Television, DVD and Digital Channels
The Villa has a television with ‘Free-Sat’ to receive British television. Please use the ‘Sharp’ remote control to switch on the television only. Put this to one side then and then revert to the ‘Manhattan Free- Sat’ remote control. Switch on the box and then use the programme changer on this remote too. If you are asked to enter a code for parental control then it is a four digit code 0000. The DVD is connected to the TV, simply switch on with the ‘Sony’ remote and if the TV is on then it will switch to the DVD automatically put in a disc and enjoy your movie. There are a number of English movies available here in the villa on the book shelf.
  • Music in the Villa
There is a Bose Docking Station in the lounge for a good ‘old-fashioned’ iPod or indeed other older smart phones. There is a small white adaptor for this Bose speaker, so you can fit your newer iPhones to it to play music. You can also listen to music from your iPhone via Bluetooth with our UE BOOM BOX 2. It can be taken pool side and is waterproof (apparently) although we would prefer you not to test it please! Simply switch on the BOOM box by pressing the top and switch your Bluetooth on, via settings, on your smart phone. There is a bright yellow charger lead for the BOOM box if it isn’t charged. This fits in the bottom of the BOOM box….I get the feeling you will suss it all out anyway. If you are really keen you can download the BOOM (Ultimate Ears) App and really go for it…like I have…… but hey, I’m 58 and know what I am doing!
